Who We Are:
We are a family owned and operated manufacturing business in the Industrial Midwest of Akron, Ohio. TK Fireside began in 2025, a company focused on glass fireplace enclosures and founded by Brett Lyren, the grandson of Thermo-Rite Mfg. company founder John Lydle.
TK Fireside offers the Thermo-Rite fireplace enclosure product line and also offer a new customer-focused, custom-built family of products being developed with Kim Schedbauer formerly of the David Kimberly Door Company. This high-end, built-to-order line will have new engineering, new material and new finishes not available on the current Thermo-Rite product line-up. We are developing these new product lines over the course of 2026 and look forward to sharing our new vision with you.
At TK Fireside, we offer a one-year limited warranty for the products we manufacture and can sell replacement glass for Thermo-Rite customers who qualify.
What We Do:
Thermo-Rite invented the Fireplace Enclosure, and manufactured them for over 80 years! They set the industry standard for quality and durability and have raised it continually throughout our history. At TK Fireside, we are proud to offer the same product and quality you have come to rely upon.
Why We Do What We Do:
We still believe in John E. Lydle’s, ideals: Quality, Affordability and Durability. Everyone should be able to have an elegant and well made Fireplace Door in their home to enhance its’ beauty, save energy and increase its’ value. The TK Fireside mission is the same, but our methods and materials have, lighter, stronger and more modular for ease of construction and installation.
